Workshop this Sunday.....

Hello all,

Just to let you know we have a workshop this Sunday and the theme is ....... CHRISTMAS...... scary I know, but we only have 5 more classes after this one until Christmas, so we need to get our skates (ice skates..... lol) on, otherwise it will be here before we know it.

The workshop dates for the remainder of 2014 are:

Sundays at 10am - 12pm, Lench's Trust, Ridgeacre Rd, Quinton. Bham.B3H

OCT 5TH
OCT 19TH
NOV 2ND
NOV 16TH
DEC 7TH

I have some lovely projects lined up for you, including using pan pastels for those of you who have not used them before, they are addictive though, and some people find them much easier to use than distress inks and you get wonderful finishes with them.

Below are a few pictures of projects we will be doing between now and Christmas.  Hope you like them.

Hope I see you all at the next workshop.

CHRISTMAS - YES IT IS COMING SOON.....

Hello again,

I know you like to think Christmas is ages away, but it isn't - there are 3 pay days until Christmas, not many when you think about it.

So I thought I had better get on with it and start creating Christmas projects for our workshops, as there are only 7 workshops left until Christmas.

So I have a selection of photos below of what we will be making between now and Christmas, some are shown in different colour ways, so if you colour them in, you can match the colours to the person you are sending the card to.

halloween cards.....

Hello,

For those of you who know me, this is my most favourite time of the year, I love Halloween and horror films and anything scary.

So I decided to make two Halloween projects at our workshops, ready for Halloween.

Hope you like them.  They are all made using digi stamps for the background and all elements on the card.  I coloured with spectrum noir pens and did the background with pan pastels. They are so much fun to make. Hope you enjoy making them as much as I did.

25th silver wedding anniversary card

Hello again,

Just had a week and a half off  - lovely break, but its last day today and back to work tomorrow.  So best make the most of crafting today. ;-) any excuse to craft.

I was asked to make a 25th wedding anniversary card, as it is a 25th wedding anniversary - Silver, the card is make with silver elements.

As black and silver so well together I used a silver and black matt and layer, and cut out leaves, flowers, swirls and the number 25 all in silver miri card, and arranged on the black background.  I added a ribbon and sentiment and the odd gem and butterfly and this is the end result.

Hope you like it.

Happy birthday aunty card

I was asked to make an aunty birthday card,  I started with my favourite card size -8x8, and layered with silver miri card and pink pearl card, I die cut fancy frames in silver and pink, and also flowers, then I die cut a basket and made some flowers and buds from tonic flower punches and placed them in the basket. Which I placed in the centre of the card.  I finished with a ribbon and a happy birthday and aunty sentiment which I inked and shaped.

What do you think?

Birthday card -sister

I had been asked to do a flower card for someone's sister, so I started with an 8x8 card blank, and used the beautiful corner die from pink frog crafts on all 4 corners, using a peel off sentiment from pinflair for sister I out that in the centre of the card and added flowers which I made from tonic stamp and punch range, which I embossed, I added flora and gold butterflying and swirls.

Hope she likes to it.

Acetate Flower Card

Hello all,

I decided to make an 8x8 acetate flower card, I started with an 8x8 white card blank, and printed some backing papers, inserts and toppers from Jem's Designs Petals and Wings CD rom, I printed two copies of the topper so I could create decoupage, I matt and layered gold miri and a background paper on the front of the card, I took the topper and matt on to gold miri card and added the decoupage, I tend took a piece of acetate 3 cm too long and scored at 1cm from each end and wrapped round the topper and stuck to the centre of the card.

On the inside I stuck an insert and a picture of the topper and on the back of the card, I finished with another topper.

I liked this card so much I made a couple of them.

Hope you like it too.
