how to make quilled flowers......

Hello all,

This is an instructional blog about how I make quilled flowers, I use the crafters companion quilled flower dies and stamen and spectrum noirs to colour them in with.  I die cut the petals and stamen from 140 gsm white card as I find this weight more suitable for manipulating the flowers.

INSTRUCTIONS

1.     Using your quilling dies, cut two petal strips and two stamens.
2.     Colour them in the colour of your choice with spectrum noir pens (or pro-markers)
3.     Put double sided tape on each petal strip and each stamen strip.
4.     Stick the two petal strips together ensuring you have staggered the petals
5.     Do the same with the stamen, but leave the very end of the stamen unstuck (no tape)
6.     Take your quilling tool and roll the stamen around this, then add your petals, rolling them round the stamen
7.     Press down hard to ensure stuck together, shape petals and pull them out
8.     Spray with glue spray and dip in glitter
9.     Punch or die cut leaves, colour in and spray with glue and dip in glitter

10.  Add to your card

The final picture is the finished card to which I have added leaves, swirls and branches..

TTFN, happy crafting
