OMG - less than 2 weeks until Christmas

Well have been a bit busy lately, obviously been at work full time as normal, but also did my last craft fare of 2014 on Saturday, did my last workshop of 2014 on Sunday, went to London on Monday and shopping in Birmingham on Tuesday, then back to work on Wednesday, my two days off seemed to disappear very quickly as did my weekend.

But all is not lost, I have managed to get some crafting in yesterday and today.....  Crafting is a like a drug - I need my crafting fix I cannot go very long without it - I am sure I am not alone with my crafting addition.  Shout loud and proud you crafters out there.

I have done some "special" cards the past few days, which has taken me hours to do, one card took over two hours.... but I enjoyed every minute of it, embossing, create a card dies, die cutting, punching, glittering, gems, making flowers, pine cones, creating apertures, etc. have taken pictures of the front of the cards, then the insides, then inside the aperture in the centre inside the card so you get an all round view of the cards.  The card is basically an 8x8 card (2 of them), fold both in half, and one of them into quarters, open out and put the create a card die of your choice over the centre score line and die cut it out.  Using an embossing folder emboss each end of the card so the whole card ends up with embossing or die cutting.  Using the other 8x8 card, you want to stick the first quarter of the card you have just embossed/die cut to one end of the first card on the inside and then take the forth panel and stick to the inside back of the card - creating an opening in the centre with the die cut create a card scene.  To put a picture behind the aperture, do this before sticking both ends down.  Decorate the front of the card with contrasting card stock and embossed card, add die cut Santa and reindeers, trees and a lamp post for good measure.  Finish with gem stones in the embossed snowflakes on the inside and the front of the card.  Very luxurious and fancy. Took about 2 hours but liked it so much made another one with a different shaped create a card die in the inside.

The last card is using core-dinations card stock, and create a card die and snowflake acetate.  I die cut the core-dinations card stock, kept the tree line for use of the front of the card, and I folded a piece of snowflake acetate in half and trimmed down to 5 3/4 inch square and did the same to the die cut core-dinations card, I glued the core-dinations die cut on to the inside of the acetate and added the die cut tree line to the bottom at the front.  Simple but elegant.
