This is what I came up with.

White Base card matt black and silver. Die cut a frame in silver for photo of ring. Die cut black and white hearts and tuck behind frame. Print a sentiment and layer on silver. Add gems and champagne glasses to finish.

Christmas Wreath Card

Hello again,

Well, it is lovely and sunny outside, so think I might stop crafting now after my very early Saturday morning start, and go outside and appreciate the good weather whilst it lasts.....

Before I go, I though I would share one last card I made this morning....... I have to say it - CHRISTMAS, I know it is months away, but if I don't start now, Christmas won't happen in my house until February......

So I thought I would make a festive wreath card using punches and CD images from My Craft Studio (the Christmas flowers click and print CD).

I hand cut all of the flowers from the printed sheet, and layered three layers on top of each other to make a single flower, ensuring the leaves were staggered, I then finished with a pearl in the centre and a hint of glitter (well, you have to really).  I made 5 large flowers and 4 smaller flowers.

I folded a piece of A4 card in half to make an A5 blank card and matt and layered with silver miri card and a lovely piece of blue snowflake background paper - which I found in my stash (it is from one of the Christmas discs from Crafter's Companion - Popcorn I think)  I then drew a circle on the card front and placed the 4 large flowers in a clock face format at 3, 6, 9, 12, then filled the gaps with the 4 smaller flowers.  I then punched ferns and leaves and threaded between the flowers, bot on the inside and outside of the wreath.

I used a green piece of ribbon and tied a bow and put in the top corner of the card and stuck the last large flower on the centre of the bow and again threaded ferns and leaves round the flower.  I printed out a Happy Christmas sentiment and cut it out and shaped it and tucked it under the edge of the bow/flower, and finished the card with pearls along the side and bottom.

You can do this with snowflakes as well as flowers for a different look.

I do love this style of card, quite long to make but so much fun.

decorated gift bags

Hello all,

The second project I have completed this morning is a decorated gift bag.

This is a lovely cream gift bag I brought from Country Baskets, but thought I could add a few things to jazz it up a little, I stamped and coloured a lovely Wee Stamp character, I stamped and coloured my own background paper and distress inked the edges, and matt and layered on to gold miri card, I did the same again with a piece of white paper which I distress inked to match the top piece of background paper and staggered them on to the front of the bag, I die cut a gold branch and a fence which I coloured in, I finished with pearl dots and ribbon.

We will be doing this project at a workshop later this year.

pop up box card - baby

Hello all,

Well, its Saturday and the day to have a lie in, but no, 6am I am wide awake ...... so, what better way to start the day than crafting.

so, thought I would get a head on my projects.

The first one I made is a box card, but for a baby girl, I used a pram die cut, and my cricut to cut out nappy pins, hearts, words etc.

The instructions and measurements for this card is:

Take an A4 piece of card and score along the width at 7cm, 14cm, 21cm and 28cm, turn and score down the length at 12cm,

cut down the top score lines (the smaller section) and fold each score line, fold into the box shape and stick the end piece to the inside of the first piece and trim of the end top section.

I have matt and layered in pink textured card and used a pink polka dot ribbon and some butterflies and staggered the words with pink and silver.

The lovely thing about these cards is that you can make any type, wedding, engagement, anniversary, baby, birthday, floral, gardening, men's hobbies and so on and on and on.....
